Bitsy Brandenham is the owner of the Brandenham Hotel, which overlooks Central Park, she is also the main antagonist of the show. Her main goal is to buy the park to build and sell condos to rich people and works with the mayor, Whitney Whitebottom, to do so. Her best friend is her dog, Shampagne (though he may not agree). Bitsy also has a maid named Helen, who assists her with nearly everything.

Appearance[]

Bitsy is a Caucasian woman with a short build. She has tall, gray hair and she wears big-rimmed oval glasses, a light pink fur coat, green earrings, and black stockings and boots. In Hat Luncheon she wears a large-brimmed cloud hat that mimics real rain. In A Boat-iful Mind Bitsy gets high off medicine and is seen wearing a pink coat paired with a pink dress, a gold necklace, gold earrings, and pink heels.

Personality[]

Bitsy is often rude, selfish, confident, and respects herself over other people. She could also be described as childish sometimes, not owning up for her actions, making 'fart' noises when Helen moves to amuse herself, and throwing things when annoyed. She is rarely sober, though when sober not much changes with her personality. There is a sign of insecurity in her personality, as she wants to impress her departed Father and Mother. She also genuinely cares about The Brendanham Hotel and Shampange.

Relationships[]

The Tillermans[]

Bitsy has a strong disliking of the Tillerman family, mainly Owen Tillerman. Being the manager of the park, Owen (along with his family) tries to prevent Bitsy's plan of buying the park and tearing up the land to build and sell condos. Despite being enemies with the family, Bitsy seems to have a small bond between her and Molly Tillerman. In the episode, "A Decent Proposal", during Bitsy's birthday party, Bitsy and Molly go through her drawings that make fun of the rich people while making fun of said rich people.

Helen[]

Helen is Bitsy's personal maid, who is only working for Bitsy to get into her will when she dies to inherit all her money. Though they can't seem to stand each other, there are a few moments in the show where they do tolerate each other and almost share a moment of some sort. An example is seen in the episode "Live It Up Tonight", where Bitsy and Helen get stuck in a liquor storage room of a rival hotel and smash all the bottles.

Whitney Whitebottom[]

Bitsy works with Whitney Whitebottom (ex-mayor, by the end of Season 2) to buy Central Park. The two keep their plan secret, however Whitney isn't as good as Bitsy and sometimes forgets her cues

Ambrose Brandenham[]

Bitsy and Ambrose have a sibling rivalry, constantly competing to see who is richer and better, whether in status or in general. Though it isn't clear what Ambrose's motive is, Bitsy competes with her brother to impress her long deceased father and mother.

Leopold Brandenham[]

Bitsy's father, known as Leopold Brandenham, and Bitsy have a strained relationship. In "The Shadow", it is revealed he had always wanted a boy, though Bitsy was born a girl. This is most likely the reason why he always favored her brother more, as it was stated in Bitsy's song, "Make 'Em Pay", that Ambrose was "the golden child".
